BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company, and BioTechnical Institute (BTI), a nonprofit community organization, today announced that Robert Fauvie, vice president of global operations for BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions, will join the BTI Board of Directors.

As a member of the BTI Board of Directors, Fauvie will help develop and reinforce relationships to continue BTI’s efforts to provide tuition-free, high-caliber, training to help those who are under- or unemployed to become lab workers in the state’s rapidly expanding life sciences sector.

At BD, Fauvie is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction for Operations as well as for the daily execution and total performance of our IDS manufacturing plants worldwide, including at the BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions headquarters in Sparks, M.D., overseeing the manufacture and distribution of thousands of diagnostic instruments and millions of assays and medical devices each year.
