Brandy Carter

Executive Director

Dr. Brandy Carter joined BTI in 2021 as executive director.

Dr. Carter brings to the role 12 years of administrative experience in education, working for the District of Columbia Public Schools, Anne Arundel Community College, and consulting for various charter schools. More recently, Dr. Carter served as the Assistant Executive Director of Adult Education and Programs at South Baltimore Learning Center. At SBLC, Dr. Carter was an invaluable partner to BTI, providing career preparation and highly effective education remediation services to BTI students.

Dr. Carter holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Union University, a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University.

Dr. Carter is passionate about making sure individuals are seen and heard; her goal is to give a voice to the often voiceless and help them forge career pathways which can help build generational wealth.
